Learn how to sign up for an AOL email account in seconds. AOL Mail is still one of the most popular email services around.

The company, now a division of Verizon Communications, lets you sign up for an email account for free, using only a mobile phone number for verification purposes.

AOL Mail Account Sign Up.

Creating an AOL email is simple and fast. Visit the AOL Homepage ( mail.aol.com ) and click on the ‘Don’t Have An Account? Sign Up’ tab. You will be redirected to the main AOL email sign up page, from where you can create a new AOLMail account.

You will need to provide the following:

First Name

Last Name

AOL Username

AOL Password

Date of Birth

Gender

ZIP or Post Code

AOL Security Question

AOL Security Answer

Mobile Phone Number

Alternative Email Address

The username will serve as the prefix before @aol.com in your email address.

Your AOL username must be at least 3 characters long. The AOL Username cannot contain any special characters, like -,+,%, &,* or $.

If you choose a AOL username that is already used by another user, you will be asked to select a different one.

Your AOL security question, AOL security answer, mobile phone number and alternative email fields should all be filled in. These can be needed if forget your password, or if you get locked out of your AOL account.

The system will highlight it, if your password is not strong enough. Remember, you are not allowed to use your first or your last name as part of the password.

As part of the sign up process, you will also need to agree to allow AOL to “store cookies on your device to collect your search, location and browsing data to tailor content to your interests, secure our products and to improve and create new offerings”.

The AOL Mail Sign Up page can be found here.

Do I Have to Provide a Mobile Phone Number?

Yes, for verification purposes, AOL Mail requires you to provide a working cell phone number. AOL Mail will send a verification code to your mobile phone to verify that you are a person, and not a bot.

If you do not have a mobile phone, then we recommend signing up for a Mail.com account instead.

AOL Sign In Page.

Once you have succesfully created an acccount, you can navigate to the AOL Login page to sign in to your new account.

The post Create an AOL Mail Account first appeared on Email Settings.

How to create an iCloud Email Account.

Sign up for, and log in to, your very own iCloud email account in seconds. Step-by-step guide to the iCloud.com sign up page. iCloud Mail is a free email service from Apple with free storage and IMAP access.

The free version of iCloud Email will give you 5 Gigabyte of free storage for your emails (minus usage of storage for documents and other data you store in the cloud).

How do I sign up for an iCloud Email Account?

iCloud Email sign up requires a working Apple ID.

If you do not a have an Apple ID, you can register here ( www.icloud.com ) by clicking on the ‘Don’t Have an Apple ID? Create Yours Now’ tab.

Fill out the Apple ID sign up form that appears.

You must now set up the main iCloud service, in order to set up an iCloud Email account.

You must do this on a Apple Mac computer, or a Apple mobile or tablet device that runs on the Apple iOS operating system.

iCloud Email for Mac Users.

Open the Apple menu, and go to ‘System Preferences’, and click on ‘iCloud’ and enter your new or existing Apple ID and password.

Then select the features you want to use. Click ‘Mail’ to create an icloud email account, and follow the instructions.

iCloud Email for iOS Mobile Phone Users.

iOS mobile users will have to go to ‘Settings’, and then click on your own name, followed by a click on ‘iCloud’.

Then, select ‘Mail’ and follow the instructions to complete the sign up process.

Once you have signed up for an iCloud email account, you will have a new @icloud.com email address.

Your @icloud.com email address will sync with your existing Apple ID.

After sign up, you can log in to your official Apple ID with the original Apple ID email address (that you used to sign up for an Apple I), or with your very new @icloud.com address.

Visit www.icloud.com to sign in to your new iCloud email account.

The post Create an iCloud Account first appeared on Email Settings.
