AOL.com Mail Login.

Sign up for and log in to your new AOL email account. Common login problems and solutions.

About AOL Mail.

AOL Mail is a webmail service created by AOL, which is now owned by Verizon Communications. It was launched in 1993 and is recognised as one of the oldest email services still in existence. The service is sometimes referred to as AIM Mail, with the ‘AIM’ initials standing for AOL Instant Messenger; a now discontinued messenger service.

Users are able to create a webmail account with AOL Mail for free and the service includes built-in virus protection and spam protection, as well as support for the POP3, SMTP, IMAP protocols. The vast majority of AOL Mail email addresses have the [username]@aol.com format, although some @ygm.com, @games.com and @love.com domains are still supported. Users are also able to link their account with an account from another email provider.

AOL.com Mail Sign Up.

The AOL email sign up process is fast, easy to understand and can be carried out by visiting the service’s main homepage ( mail.aol.com ) and clicking on the link labelled ‘Don’t Have An Account? Sign Up’. This will then take you to the main AOL email sign up form, where you can create your new AOL Mail account.

On this form, you will need to provide the following information:

First Name

Last Name

Username

Password

Date of Birth

Gender

ZIP or Post Code

Security Question

Security Answer

Mobile Phone Number

Alternative Email Address

The username you choose will serve as the prefix before the @aol.com part of your new email address. This username must be at least three characters long and cannot contain any special characters, like %, &, * or $. If you select a username that is already in use, you will be asked to select a different one instead.

Your security question, security answer, mobile phone number and alternative email fields should all be filled in accurately, as these may be needed in the event that you forget your password, or get locked out of your account.

AOL.com Mail Login.

After you have created an account, the AOL email login form can also be found on the main homepage, underneath the ‘Sign In’ heading. In the first field, simply enter your username or email address and then click on the ‘Next’ button. On the next page, enter the password you chose during the sign up process and click ‘Sign In’.

It is important to note that your password needs to be an exact match with the password you entered on the sign up form and it is case sensitive, meaning the placement of upper and lower case letters is critical. For this reason, you should enter the password carefully and make sure CAPS LOCK is switched off on your keyboard.

The AOL Mail service comes with a built-in password recovery system for those who have forgotten their password. In the event that this happens to you, simply enter your email address on the AOL email login form as usual, click ‘Next’ and then instead of entering your password, click on the ‘Forgot Password?’ link instead. From there, enter the requested security information and follow the instructions to reset your password and regain account access.

AOL Mail Login Problems.

If you cannot sign in, then you should:

Check that your internet connection is working.

Try different username and password combinations. You could have forgotten a small detail.

Check that the AOL Mail server is UP by visiting: http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/mail.aol.com.html.

Try to access with another browser, for example Chrome, Mozilla or Internet Explorer.

Delete your browser’s data (cache and cookies), restart the browser and then try again.

Disable all browser plugins, add-ons, anti-virus and anti-malware programs, and ad-blocker programs that may block the log in process.

Try signing in from a different mobile device or laptop and see if that resolves the issue.

Please share your experiences with AOL Mail below.

Learn how to sign up for an AOL email account in seconds. AOL Mail is still one of the most popular email services around.

The company, now a division of Verizon Communications, lets you sign up for an email account for free, using only a mobile phone number for verification purposes.

AOL Mail Account Sign Up.

Creating an AOL email is simple and fast. Visit the AOL Homepage ( mail.aol.com ) and click on the ‘Don’t Have An Account? Sign Up’ tab. You will be redirected to the main AOL email sign up page, from where you can create a new AOLMail account.

You will need to provide the following:

First Name

Last Name

AOL Username

AOL Password

Date of Birth

Gender

ZIP or Post Code

AOL Security Question

AOL Security Answer

Mobile Phone Number

Alternative Email Address

The username will serve as the prefix before @aol.com in your email address.

Your AOL username must be at least 3 characters long. The AOL Username cannot contain any special characters, like -,+,%, &,* or $.

If you choose a AOL username that is already used by another user, you will be asked to select a different one.

Your AOL security question, AOL security answer, mobile phone number and alternative email fields should all be filled in. These can be needed if forget your password, or if you get locked out of your AOL account.

The system will highlight it, if your password is not strong enough. Remember, you are not allowed to use your first or your last name as part of the password.

On the AOL Mail home page, locate the SIgn Up link below the login fields.

As part of the sign up process, you will also need to agree to allow AOL to “store cookies on your device to collect your search, location and browsing data to tailor content to your interests, secure our products and to improve and create new offerings”.

The AOL Mail Sign Up page can be found here.

Do I Have to Provide a Mobile Phone Number?

Yes, for verification purposes, AOL Mail requires you to provide a working cell phone number. AOL Mail will send a verification code to your mobile phone to verify that you are a person, and not a bot.

If you do not have a mobile phone, then we recommend signing up for a Mail.com account instead.

AOL Sign In Page.

Once you have succesfully created an acccount, you can navigate to the AOL Login page to sign in to your new account.

The post Create an AOL Mail Account first appeared on Email Settings.

Verizon Email Sign Up – Can I still Create a New Verizon Email Account?

How do I create a new Verizon email account or has Verizon Webmail been closed?

Following Verizon’s acquisition of AOL, as well as the core internet businesses of Yahoo, Verizon announced it was leaving the email business and migrating existing email addresses to either AOL Mail or Yahoo! Mail.

As a result, it is no longer possible to create a new @verizon.net email address.

How can I create a new email account, then?

Nevertheless, Verizon Communications now owns AOL Mail and customers can sign up for a new email address on that platform by visiting the main AOL Mail homepage ( mail.aol.com ). Once there, simply click on the link at the bottom of the login form, which is labelled ‘Don’t Have An Account? Sign Up’.

On the next page, you will need to enter personal details, such as your name, date of birth, mobile phone number and ZIP code. In addition, you will need to select a username, which will serve as the prefix for your @aol.com email address, as well as a password, which must be between 8 and 16 characters in length.

Unlike many other platforms, special characters, such as ‘!’, ‘#’ and ‘@’ are permitted for use in AOL Mail passwords.

If you prefer a Yahoo Mail branded email account, you can sign up to Yahoo Mail here, be clicking on “Create New Account”.

The old registration pages at Webmail.Verizon.com or www.Verizon.net are no longer available.

The post Create a Verizon Email account first appeared on Email Settings.

Verizon Email Login.

How do I log in to my Verizon Email account? How do I sign in to my Verizon Wireless or MyVerizon account?

Detailed solutions to common Verizon sign-in problems.

About Verizon Email.

Verizon Email was an email service, provided by Verizon Communications. Like other free email services of this type, email accounts were accessible from either the company’s webmail platform, or through client-based email software. At last count, it had around 4.5 million accounts, with around 2.5 million classed as ‘active’.

In 2017, Verizon Communications announced that it was closing its email platform down, in order to focus on its cable television, internet and IPTV services. Users with @verizon.net email addresses were given the opportunity to retain their email address and migrate to either AOL Mail or Yahoo! Mail, but the deadline for doing so has passed.

How Do I Sign Up For a Verizon Email Account?

After Verizon announced the acquisition of AOL, Verizon left the email segment, and new customers will need to sign up for new account at Mail.AOL.com or at Yahoo Mail.

How Do I Log In to My Verizon.net Email Account?

While it is no longer possible to create a new Verizon.net email address, active users were able to migrate to AOL Mail and Yahoo Mail and keep their old email address. Assuming you migrated your email address before the deadline, you can still access that account and this can be done by going to the AOL Mail homepage ( mail.aol.com ) or the Verizon Yahoo Mail access page verizon.yahoo.com.

From there, login can be achieved by entering your full Verizon.net email address into the first field on the login form, clicking ‘Next’ and then entering the password associated with that account. Then, click on the ‘Login’ button and you should find that you have access to your email inbox.

Remember, your password is case sensitive, so you should take care with the placement of upper and lower case letters. For this reason, it is best to turn CAPS LOCK off. You must enter the full email address, including the @verizon.net suffix. If you experience problems signing in, try clearing your browser data before trying again.

It is also important to stress that if you have problems with the Verizon Email login process, you need to contact AOL Mail’s customer service team, rather than the Verizon Communications team. A dedicated ‘Help’ page for Verizon customers, complete with contact information, can be found by clicking here.

The old Webmail.Verizon.com and Verizon.Net Email login pages are no longer active, but simply refers to the two login pages listed above.

Verizon Wireless Login.

If you are attempting to log in to your Verizon Wireless (Mobile) account to pay a bill or view your mobile usage, then go directly to Verizon Wireless login page, and enter your login credentials.

MyVerizon FIOS Login.

If you are a Verizon Fios customer, and you want to watch TV online, or view and pay your bill, Verizon has a dedicated login page for FIOS customers at MyVerizon.

Common Verizon Login Problems.

Again, the old Webmail.verizon.com and Verizon.Net email access webpages are no longer active. If you decided to migrate your Verizon Email account to AOL Mail or Yahoo Mail, then visit Mail.AOLcom ) or Verizon.Yahoo.com, respectively, to login to your mail account.

If you are having problems signing into AOL with your @verizon.net email address, then make sure you use your full verizon.net email address, including @verizon.net, as your AOL Mail username, e.g. username@verizon.net.

If you are having problems signing into Yahoo Mail withyour @verizon.net email address, then make sure to use your full verizon.net email address, including @verizon.net, as your Yahoo Mail username, e.g. username@verizon.net.

If you want to sign in to your Verizon Wireless account or MyVerizon FIOS account, then visit Verizon WIreless or MyVerizon.

If you continue to have problems logging in to any of your accounts, then go through this checklist:

First, check that your internet connection is working. Often, WIFI in public spaces often require you to connect first through a unique start page.

Try different username/password combinations. You could have forgotten a small detail, Capital Letters or included a SPACE by mistake. A SPACE counts as a character in a password.

If you are attempting to log in to your Verizon Wireless account, then check that the Verizon server is UP by visiting: www.isitdownrightnow.com/verizonwireless.com.html.

Try to sign in from another mobile device or laptop. This will help you isolate the problem.

Open an Incognito Mode/Private Browsing tab in your browser and log in via this tab.

Try to sign in with another internet browser, for example with Chrome, Opera, Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer.

Delete your internet browser cache and cookies, close the web browser, open it and then try again.

Temporarily disable all add-ons, plugins, anti-virus and anti-malware and ad-blocker programs that may interfere with the login process.

I did not migrate my @verizon.net email address to AOL or Yahoo in time.

Verizon email customers can’t keep their Verizon.net email address or extract their data to another service provider, if it has not been done already. All verizon.net email and address contacts that had not migrated to AOL or Yahoo Mail December 15, 2017 has been deleted from the Verizon systems.

If you continue to have problems, then state your issue below.

The post Verizon Email Login first appeared on Email Settings.
